CHOPTA TUNGNATH, CHANDERSHILLA TREK

Round the year It is very popular trek in the Himalaya that can be undertaken round the year except heavy snowing in the month of December and January. Chandrashila submit is a rock face above the temple of Tungnath, the highest temple in the Himalayas.

GANGOTRI-GAUMUKH-NANADAVAN-TAPOVAN

June to November The Holy River Ganges is the most sacred river in the Hindu religion and its source at Gaumukh on the Gangotri glacier and many other peaks. Gaumukh is one of the holiest places for Hindu pilgrims who come here to witness the birth of Mother Ganga. The trek takes you to Gaumukh (cows mouth), the mythological source of the River Ganges, which is at the snout of the Gangotri glacier.

VALLEY OF FLOWERS TREK & HEMKUND TREK

June to November T.G. Longstaff and Frank Smythe for the outside world discovered this enchanting place by chance in 1931, though the local villagers of Bhundar valley knew it as Nandankanan since time immemorial. They feared venturing in to the valley, because of the spirit and fairies that were though to be haunting the beautiful valley. They feared that the spirits would carry them away. More than 1000 varieties of flowers, ferns, and Himalayan herbs grow in the valley. The most beautiful of all Himalayan flowers, the Blue Primula can be seen blooming in thousands in the valley.The best time to see the valley in full bloom is mid-July to mid-September.

HAR KI DUN TREK

May to October The Har - Ki - Doon trek is one of the most famous treks in the Garhwal Himalayas, and is also used as an introductory trek for the first time trekker! The valley of Har-ki-Doon is located at the base of Fateh Parvat, at an elevation of 3556 mts. The trek is rated as "easy" to "moderate", though one is required to be physically fit to complete this trek.

ROOPKUND TREK

May to November The high altitude Lokpal lake, known as Hemkund (4329 mts.) lies in heavenly environs. A steep trek from Ghangharia leads one to this spot in about four to six hours. It is an important pilgrimage for both Hindus and Sikhs, as well as for people from other faiths. There is a Sikh Gurudwara and a Lakshman temple built on the bank of the lake. Encircled by seven snow clad peaks and their associated glaciers, it reflects its surroundings enchantingly on its crystal clear serene waters. The glaciers from HathiParvat and Saptrishi peaks feed the lake and a small stream called Himganga flows out of this lake.

KUARI PASS TREK

The pass(khal) is approached through a narrow goat trek at an elevation of 4265 mts in the heart of Chamoli Garhwal. The glorious view of the imposing eastern peaks of Garhwal Himalayas is unforgettably enchantring. They appear so close with their grand glittering snow caps that one feels like almost touching them. From kuari pass Nanda Devi, Dunagiri, Bethartoli, Devathan, etc. peaks are easily. Since Lord Curzon once trekked up to Kuari pass, the trail is known as Lord trail.

In the modern times many trekkers prefer to undertake the trek in the reverse direction.

MADMAHESHWAR TREK

May June & August and October One of the most enchanting treks having abundance of natural beauty this trek is completed in 7-8 days. To complete the trek usual trekkers take 6 or 7 days. It is about 60 to 70 km stretch maximum. This trek takes you high altitude meadows, a long range of Alpine trees rivulets, waterfalls, and takes you deepest part of Kedarnath, Sanctuary area.

GANGOTRI-KEDARNATH TREK

This Trek is along the road, pilgrim route from Gangotri to Kedarnath. The actual trek starts from Mana which is accessible by motor. The trek is through dense forest full of birds & wildlife. The enbchanting view of the Garhwal Himalayas is very refreshing and compensates the efforts of regular ascend and desend the alpine Meadows on this trek are most beautiful, specially the kush- Kalyani & the Panwli bugyals or one can say it pawatu kartha.

DODITAL TREK

Dod tal is situated at an elevation of 3024 mts surrounded by dense forest of oak, pine deodar & rhododendron. The crystal clear water of the lake is full of rare fishes and Himalayan Goldentrous. A natural lake that cannot be seen anywhere else at such height.

NANDA DEVI TREK

The Nanda Devi Sanctuary in the Garhwal Himalayas of India is a unique geographical feature. A concentration of peaks connected by massive rock walls which dip no lower than 5200 metres forming an enormous circumscribe. The only way into this Shangri La is the point where the river Rishi Ganga emerges to the west in one of the most spectacular gorges in the world.
